Rodeo Events
Ribbon Tie is an event for kids 5 to 8 years of age. All participants will line up in the arena with a provided ribbon. They will run to the other end of the arena and tie the ribbon to a goat, held by an FFA student, then run back to the end to claim their buckle.
Sheep Riding is available for ages 5 to 8 years. All participants must weigh 50 lbs. or less. Participants will be assigned a chute and sheep. Helmets are provided and required. Kids will sit on individual sheep with the help of FFA students. Each child will go individually, after the chute is opened the sheep will run as far as they can with a child on its back. Rodeo clowns are in arena to help prevent injuries when child falls off sheep.
Chicken Scramble A great way for your kids (ages 5 & under) to get a taste of country life by chasing a chicken! This event allows all 5 & under kids to go into the arena and catch a chicken. This event requires no registration and no payment. Parents are not allowed to help a child catch a chicken, and whatever chicken is caught, it's yours!​​
Barrel Racing is open for ages 8 to 12 years. A gentle horse is provided for all participants. The horse will go around 2 barrels once. Horse can be led either by horse's owner or the participant can led the horse alone.
Stick Pony Race is a race for ages 4 years and under. A child can either bring his/her own stick pony or is provided with one at the time of the event. Kids will line up at the front of the arena and will individually race around two barrels with their stick ponies.
Ribbon Pull is an event for all ages 4 and under. A goat will be held at one end of the arena with ribbons tied to legs, ears, tail, etc... All participants will run to the goats and pull a ribbon and run back to the starting line. Participant my keep ribbon.
Pig Scramble is an entertaining event for ages 8 to 12. Kids will be held in the arena at the time of the event. A greased pig is placed in arena and participants must grease their arms from elbow to hands. Participants must race each other to try to catch the pig. No help allowed from family, friends, or rodeo helpers. The winner will be awarded $100 toward the purchase price of a 4H market project animal for the following year. Goat Roping w/ Stick Horse is an event for participants 5 to 8 years. A child may bring their own stick horse and/or rope, or use provided ones. Participants will gallop to one end of the arena with rope in hand and rope a held goat.
Calf Riding is a classic event for ages 9-12. . Participants are assigned a chute at event check-in. The child is set on top of a calf with the help of student FFA members. Then, once positioned correctly with the helmet, the chute opens. Rodeo clowns are in the arena and help prevent injuries when a child falls off the calf.
Team Event
Wild Goat Milking Great team event with some action! Participants are lined up with a teammate, on with a rope, and one with a cup. On the call of the announcer, teams will rush to rope and hold a goat while other has to milk the goat! Assistance from clown is available if needed.

Sheep Dressing hilarious and entertaining event for ages 8-12, Participants are provided a bag of clothes and will run to catch a sheep, one person dresses and the other catches, ropes are provided and assist from clowns if needed.
